MARION, Ind. -- Left fielder Shay Harden earned Mid-Central College Conference Baseball Player of the Week after guiding Indiana Wesleyan University to a 5-3 week.
Highlighting the week for Harden was his grand slam which lifted the Wildcats to a 4-1 victory over No. 9-ranked Spring Arbor (Mich.) University on Wednesday. The victory brought to a close the 25-game win streak in the MCC by the Cougars. Harden finished the game 3-for-3 from the plate.
The Russiaville, Indiana native hit .462 (12 for 26) during the week with a .692 slugging percentage as he collected 18 total bases. Harden hit one home run and three doubles while driving in nine runs. He stole four bases and scored seven runs.
Indiana Wesleyan is currently 14-10 this season and 7-3 in the MCC.
