
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Indiana Wesleyan University earned a convincing 8-1 win on Saturday afternoon at Ohio Dominican University in women's tennis.
The Wildcats swept doubles competition and won five of six singles matches to improve to 18-1 overall and 5-1 during the spring.
The No. 1-doubles team of senior Brittany Raymond and Kristi Haddad (8-3), No. 2-doubles of freshman Eva Delk and Lisa Massey (8-2) and the No. 3-doubles tandem of junior Laura Helm and sophomore Courtney Kooyers (8-5) gave Indiana Wesleyan the early 3-0 advantage.
Earning points for Indiana Wesleyan in singles play were junior Julia Hedgebeth in No. 2-singles (2-6, 7-6, 10-3), Delk in No. 3-singles (6-4, 7-6), Raymond in No. 4-singles (4-6, 6-1, 10-8), Massey in No. 5-singles (6-0, 6-0) and Haddad in No. 6-singles (6-2, 6-0).
Indiana Wesleyan will return to play on Friday, April 11 as the Wildcats host the Mark Richards Memorial Tournament.
