MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University softball team is just one of 10 remaining teams in the NAIA. The 10-team double elimination NAIA World Series is set to begin on Friday in Clermont, Florida.

Indiana Wesleyan became the second No. 4-seed to win a NAIA National Championship Opening Round bracket to advance to the NAIA World Series. IWU went 3-0 in the Bowling Green Bracket and defeated No. 9 Saint Francis (Ill.) twice and No. 11 Campbellsville (Ky.) once to reach the final site.

IWU is the No. 9-seed at the World Series and is scheduled to play No. 8-seed and No. 20-ranked Southern Oregon on Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET. The winning team advances to play No. 1 Oklahoma City (Okla.) while the losing team will face an elimination game vs. No. 4 Davenport (Mich.) or No. 5 LSU Alexandria on Saturday.

The 2017 World Series is the second time Indiana Wesleyan has reached the final site of the national championship but the first time doing so where only 10 teams advance. IWU advanced to the national championship tournament in 2012 in the final year before the Opening Round format was introduced.

Live stats and live video are available for all games of the tournament, provided by the NAIA. The live video is pay-per-view with prices being $9.95 per game or $29.95 for the entire World Series.
