MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan outfielder and pitcher Kaisey Carson has been voted the NCCAA Softball National Player of the Year and four Wildcats in all were honored by the NCCAA as they released their postseason honors.

Prior to beginning the NAIA World Series, Carson has hit .498 with 20 home runs, 27 doubles, and 82 RBI. She has produced a 1.470 OPS with a .533 on-base percentage and a .937 slugging percentage. She combines the stellar numbers at the plate with a 1.86 ERA and 24-8 record inside the circle.

Carson has already won hardware this season as she was named the Crossroads League Player of the Year.

Carson and Carlie Weaver are both members of the NCCAA All-America First Team. Kristen Exposito is on the NCCAA All-America Second Team while Lauren Buckley made NCCAA All-America Third Team.

Carson and the Wildcats begin play at the NAIA World Series later today. Indiana Wesleyan vs. Southern Oregon is the second game on the slate and begins at 12:30 p.m. ET in Clermont, Florida.
