MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University junior Josh Foss was named NCCAA Men's Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week.

Foss led the Wildcats to a first place finish out of 12 teams at the DePauw Invitational in Greencastle, Indiana. NCAA Division I programs Butler (Ind.) University and Valparaiso (Ind.) University also competed at the meet.

Highlighting the meet for Indiana Wesleyan was Foss' run in the 1,500-meter run. Foss set a program record in the event with a time of three minutes 53.82 seconds, which also automatically qualifies him for the NAIA national meet. The previous record was set in 1980.

Indiana Wesleyan will next compete on April 11-12 at the Little State Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana.
