COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…

“Georgetown is a very good team. Last year they finished No. 22 in the nation and they have everyone back, plus the addition of a freshman who is super solid. We played fantastic singles, especially without No. 1 player Lizzie Bauss who is resting in singles as we manage an injury. I though Alex Mella, Olivia Reed, and Marissa Klein all played incredible singles this morning.”

COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…

  • “The girls came back from our match this morning playing solid focused tennis and it just proved to be too much for Grace. Really proud of how Alex Mella played today against some tough competition at No. 1 while she is still trying to get over a cold. Great heart and effort today. Laura Moore and Becky Scurt both played well this afternoon. It is wonderful to have such a deep lineup and be able to rely on that depth when we are not at full strength. It was a great day of tennis for IWU. Next up is the Crossroads League Tournament next week. Everyone will be gunning for us but I think our girls will be up for the challenge.”
