ANDERSON, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University track and field teams took part in the non-scoring Anderson Invitational this weekend in Anderson, Indiana.

The meet was used as a tune-up for the Wildcats for next weekends Mid-Central College Conference Championships at Goshen (Ind.) College from April 25-26.

Highlighting the invitational for IWU were two new program records.

Junior John Bowman shattered his own record in the discus with a throw of 180 feet 10 inches. Last week, Bowman broke the record with a toss of 177-1 feet.

Junior Josh Foss also broke his own previous record in the 1,500-meter run. Foss ran a time of three minutes 51.78 seconds. Earlier this season, Foss completed the event in 3:53.35.
