MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University is hosting a trio of events this week at the Outdoor Sports Complex.

Indiana Wesleyan will be the host site of the NCCAA Track and Field National Championships and the MCC Baseball and Softball Tournaments.

Baseball and softball are set for their double elimination tournaments to start at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30.

The Wildcat baseball team does not know the time of their first game as the brackets have yet to be released. Games will be played on the IWU main playing field and the practice field. Wednesday will have games at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on both diamonds.

Baseball will conclude with the championship game on Friday, May 2. Two teams will play at noon and the if-necessary game would be played at 3 p.m.

Softball opens tournament play with a total of 10 games to be played on Wednesday on their two fields. No. 4-seed Indiana Wesleyan will battle No. 5-seed Huntington (Ind.) University at noon. Game times for Wednesday are set for 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The softball championship game is set for 2 p.m. on Thursday. The if-necessary game would be played at 4 p.m.

The NCCAA national meet will open with the decathlon and heptathlon on Thursday at 1 p.m.

On Friday, the decathlon and heptathlon will resume at 8 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m. Running and field events will start at 3:20 p.m. The running events will be preliminaries, except for any distance runs, while all field events will be the finals.

Saturday is the final day of the meet as their will be finals in the rest of the running and field events. Events on Saturday will begin at 11:30 a.m.
