MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University has inked Zach Grantham to a NAIA men's soccer letter of intent.

The 5-10 striker earned All-State First Team in Michigan High School Division III in 2007 and was Honorable Mention in 2006. Grantham tallied 27 goals during his senior season and accumulated 64 goals in his high school career.

"Zach complements our team with several attacking qualities. He possesses the confidence needed to run at backs with full intent to beat them," says Indiana Wesleyan head coach Mark Castro. "He has been blessed with fantastic speed which he uses to pull away from defenders after beating them. It is evident Zach has the mental toughness and ability to finish the ball when he is placed under stressful conditions. He is another extremely strong and effective striker added to our offensive arsenal. I am excited to begin working with Zach and help him reach his fullest potential as a striker."

Grantham helped guide Otsego High School to a school record 17 wins in 2006 and to its highest ranking in school history as Otsego was fifth in 2007.

Zach is the son of Ken and Lori Grantham. He plans to study graphic design at Indiana Wesleyan.
