NORMAN, Okla. -- Indiana Wesleyan University golfer Austin Conroy was honored for his play during the 2007-08 season by being named to the NAIA PING North All-Region Team, according to the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The Kansas City, Missouri native is a sophomore for the Wildcats. His top performances of the season came at the Mid-Central College Conference Championship and the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship.

At the MCC Championship, Conroy won medalist honors en route to leading Indiana Wesleyan to the conference team championship. He shot a three-round total of 210 (67-71-72) for a three under par tournament, winning by two strokes. At the NCCAA national championship, Conroy tied for medalist honors with a two-round tally of 144 (72-72).

There are four All-Region teams consisting of 15 players each. Conroy is now eligible for NAIA PING All-American honors.
