MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University continues to receive post season awards for the outstanding performances on and off the court for the women's tennis team.

Six Wildcats and their coach earned honors from the NAIA and NCCAA.

Senior Sarah Bauss, junior Laura Helm and senior Brittany Raymond were all named NAIA All-American Scholar-Athletes for their work in the classroom. Joining that trio was junior Julia Hedgebeth as NCCAA All-American Scholar-Athletes.

Five Wildcats received recognition on the court by the NCCAA.

Bauss, Hedgebeth, freshman Eva Delk and Raymond were all tagged as NCCAA All-American in singles competition. The tandem of senior Kristi Haddad and Raymond were chosen as NCCAA All-Americans as a doubles unit.

Head coach Terry Porter was also recognized as he led Indiana Wesleyan to the NCCAA national championship and an appearance in the NAIA national tournament as the Wildcats advanced to the second round.

Porter was dubbed the NCCAA National Coach of the Year and the NAIA Region VIII Coach of the Year for his work this season.

Indiana Wesleyan completed the 2008 season with a record of 25-4 and a ranking of No. 15 in the final NAIA poll.
