MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University head men's soccer coach Mark Castro has signed California native Nick Fortini and Wyoming product Seth Hawk to his 2008 squad.
"We have been recruiting Nick for the past year and the components have finally come together for him to attend Indiana Wesleyan. He is a physically strong player who knows how to use his body to gain the advantage. Nick is a left-sided player who is versatile as a left back or a striker up front," relayed Castro.
Nick comes to Indiana Wesleyan as a transfer from Cuyamaca College in El Cajon, California where he captained the team in 2007.
Seth Hawk is from Rock Springs, Wyoming and will be an incoming freshman for the Indiana Wesleyan program.
"I saw Seth play this past summer and I felt he was the missing piece to our squad. He is an experienced center back who can win 50/50 balls and help keep us organized in the back. At 6'0" he is another intimidating presence in our back line. Seth has untapped potential and within our program, he will reach his maximum," said Castro.
