MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University men's soccer season begins on Tuesday night against 2007 NAIA National Tournament participant Northwestern (Iowa) College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Wildcats open the season with a pair of games in Colorado as eight student-athletes are from the state.

Indiana Wesleyan returns from the Rocky Mountains and promptly run into their first of five teams which finished 2007 ranked in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll. IWU travels to play 2007 No. 4-ranked Ohio Dominican University on August 26.

University of Rio Grande (No. 18 last season) is the first ranked program from a year ago to visit Marion on September 13. The Wildcats upended the Redmen 3-1 last season at the Cedarville (Ohio) University Tournament.

The following weekend will showcase two 2007 ranked opponents during a trip to Alabama. The Wildcats battle 2007 NAIA semifinalist Auburn (Ala.) University - Montgomery on September 19 at a neutral site in Mobile, Alabama and then clash with 2007 No. 6-ranked University of Mobile (Ala.) on September 20.

Indiana Wesleyan encounters Marian (Ind.) College on September 23 in Indianapolis to launch the Mid-Central College Conference schedule and Huntington (Ind.) University on September 29 in the MCC home opener.

On Homecoming, Indiana Wesleyan welcomes seven-time NAIA national champion Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College on October 4. The Blue Raiders ended the season in the national semifinals and ranked No. 2.

The MCC Tournament will run from November 1-15 with matches being played at the higher seed.

The NAIA National Tournament kicks off with first round matches on November 22 at home sites and the final 16 teams playing from December 1-6 in Fresno, California.
