CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Indiana Wesleyan University senior Laura Helm and junior Courtney Kooyers earned the ITA Midwest Regional Tennis Doubles Championship and will move on to the ITA National Championship.

The ITA National Championship will be held on October 16-18 in Mobile, Alabama.

Helm and Kooyers, the Wildcats' No. 3 tandem, defeated three No. 1-doubles teams of others schools to win the regional title. They earned their final win of the tournament against Taylor's number one team, Goeke and Marsh, by an 8-4 margin.

Indiana Wesleyan was also well represented in the other three ITA Midwest Regional finals.

Sophomore Lisa Massey dropped a 3-6, 2-6 decision in the women's individual tournament championship while sophomore Matt Pederson lost 0-6, 5-7 in the men's draw.

The IWU men's doubles team of senior Luke Wright and junior Ben Bischoff was defeated 8-4 in the championship match.
