MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University senior forward Becca Mathews and junior defender Rebecca Foulk were each named Mid-Central College Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week.

Mathews was named MCC Offensive Player of the Week while Foulk was tagged as the Defensive Player of the Week. In that time, the Wildcats were 2-0-0 with a 2-0 victory over Taylor (Ind.) University and a 2-1 win over Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University on Homecoming.

Mathews, a native of Spring Arbor, Michigan, scored a goal in each match this week to pace the Wildcat offense. The award is the first of her career.

Foulk was the sweeper for Indiana Wesleyan and a key member of the defense that allowed a single goal in the two matches. The Naperville, Illinois native, earns the honor for the first time this season and the second of her career.

Indiana Wesleyan is 7-1-0 on the season and ranked No. 18 in the latest NAIA poll.

The Wildcats return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, as the Wildcats host MCC foe Bethel (Ind.) College.
