MARION, Ind. -- Sophomore Micah May of the Indiana Wesleyan University men's tennis team was named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance during the week ending October 12.

May earned two Mid-Central College Conference championships this week en route to the Wildcats winning the MCC Tournament championship.

The Liberty, Missouri native scored a 6-3, 6-3 victory in the No. 5-singles finals to win the individual championship. In doubles, May teamed with Luke Montgomery to win the No. 3-doubles bracket. May and Montgomery captured the title with a 9-8 win in the finals.

The honor is the first this season and the first in May's career.
