MARION, Ind. -- Rebecca Foulk and Megan Marshall of the Indiana Wesleyan University women's soccer team were named NCCAA/NSCAA All-Americans for the 2008 season.
Both student-athletes were named to the First Team and the honor is the first in the career for each.
"I am very proud of Rebecca and Megan," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Dr. John Bratcher. "They are both deserving of this honor."
Foulk made the switch from marking back to sweeper just before the season started. Foulk and the defense limited opponents to 15 goals this season (0.8 goals per match), including nine shutouts.
Marshall led the Wildcats with 15 goals and 36 points. She was second on the team with six assists.
"These two really helped our team this season. They contributed a lot to the success we had," said Bratcher.
Foulk and Marshall helped the Wildcats to a spot in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round where IWU lost to the defending national champion Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College.
Indiana Wesleyan finished the season at 14-3-1 and a No. 23 ranking in the final NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll.
