The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recognized IWU's Women's Soccer Team for academic excellence at the recent convention. The Academic Team Award is given to intercollegiate soccer teams that maintain a 3.0 grade point average or better during the previous academic year. The Wildcats have received this award all 5 years that Coach John Bratcher has coached the team and they received it numerous times under previous coaches tenure.
