Candace Moats
Head Coach- 10th Season
As a coach I want to "finish the race well" being everything God wants me to be and allowing Him to do everything He wants to do through me. Finishing well is not measured by awards or recognition but by my willingness to listen to God's voice, focus on what He is up to with me, my teams and/or individual athletes, and believe in the end that I was used fully to impact people's lives for Christ.

What do I value in my player's lives? Honesty and openness to struggle in their journey of knowing God, strive for excellence in their volleyball skills and life skills, accept their teammates and learn how to communicate effectively in relationships, and effect people's lives as they go out and mentor others."

Coach Moats' accomplishments in volleyball began at Norris High School in Firth, Nebraska where she was an outstanding volleyball and track athlete. Moats won the state meet four years in a row in the mile and half-mile, and continues to hold records in track and volleyball.

Moats received a full-ride volleyball and track scholarship to the University of Nebraska - Omaha. After one year she transferred to Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota where her team earned three National Championships. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Coaching while at Crown.

In 1984 Moats began her coaching career at Crown College. She coached volleyball for eleven years, taught Physical Education for six years, and served as Crown's Athletic Director for four years.
