Sue Bowman begins her twenty-fourth year as the head coach of the Indiana Wesleyan University softball team in 2010-11.
Bowman started the Wildcat softball program in 1988 and has compiled a career record of 563-386.
During her twenty-three years of coaching softball, Bowman has been named MCC Coach of the Year, NAIA Region VIII Coach of the Year and NCCAA Midwest Region Coach of the Year. Bowman has also coached field hockey, women's basketball and women's track and field while at Indiana Wesleyan.
Bowman earned a B.A. degree in Physical Education with an English minor from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. She also has Master + 30 in Physical Education from Ball State University.
In 1996, Bowman took her softball team on a mission trip to Guatemala and El Salvador. Since then, the Wildcats have traveled to the Yucatan Peninsula, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
Bowman currently serves on the board of the American Red Cross and YMCA and has also served on the boards of the Indiana Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. She is a member of the NFCA, AAHPERD, and the IAHPERD.
Bowman enjoys traveling, reading, playing tennis and being at the ocean in the sun.
