Cheerleading Program Information

Cheerleading at Indiana Wesleyan is a varsity sport requiring the same athleticism and dedication as other collegiate level sports. Our program incorporates strength training and conditioning, skill specialization, and safety training. Athletes involved in cheerleading commit to community outreach activities such as fundraisers, clinics, and special appearances. Cheer team provides a unique opportunity to use the talents God has given you through the ministry of cheerleading.

The IWU Red Cheer Team is a co-ed competition team with the capacity of twelve women and twelve men. This team has qualified for the UCA National Collegiate Championships for the past eight years with top ten finishes in Division II. The Red Team cheers for all home men's and women's basketball games.

The IWU Cheerleading program provides all uniforms, shoes, warm-ups, camp fees, and travel expenses. Our coaching staff includes two assistant coaches, a strength coach and gymnastic consultant.
