Indiana Wesleyan's most recent addition in facilities is a new indoor sports complex designed to aid and enhance the overall performance of Wildcat student-athletes.
The complex is a steel-framed building located within the southeast corner of the Outdoor Sports Complex grounds.
This new facility will provide Indiana Wesleyan the opportunity to host indoor track and field meets among its multi-purpose functions. Equipped with a high-level competition flooring, this 225 x 325-foot (73,125 sq. feet) facility will house two long/triple jump pits, a pole vault area, an indoor weight throw as well as a 200-meter, eight lane track surrounding the infield. The full 200-meter track, with an eight-lane sprint area, and the competition area is made of Mondo Super X.
Indiana Wesleyan has outfitted the Indoor Sports Complex with track and field equipment made by UCS, Inc. UCS has outfitted four Olympic Games as well as being the official supplier of equipment to the indoor and outdoor NCAA National Championships.
Not only a track and field venue, the Indoor Sports Complex will be home to a number of off-season training and practice sites for Wildcat athletics. Using the interior portion of the open venue, Indiana Wesleyan baseball, soccer, softball and tennis will all be able to utilize this facility for practice purposes. With the option of using a drop-down divider in the middle of the facility, multiple teams have the ability to practice at the same time.
