Dear Coach,
We would like to invite your high school soccer team to the seventh annual Summer Friendlies hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University with the girls event on Saturday, July 14, 2012 and the boys event on Saturday, July 21, 2012. The day's event will consist of two 60 minute games typically against opponents you would not see on your regular fall season schedule, three officials per match, college coaches in attendance and held on the pristine collegiate soccer complex on the campus of IWU in Marion, Indiana. Applications and inquiries are now being accepted.
Reasons that teams have enjoyed their experience at the Summer Friendlies have entailed:
* One day event, not requiring extensive travel or over night accommodations
* Coaches get an early look at their potential fall season team
* Gorgeous, full size soccer fields at dimensions of 120 yards x 80 yards
* Win-loss record not kept to allow coaches flexibility to experiment with personnel, positions and
systems of play
* Compete against teams they normally would not see during their fall season
* Early recruitment for college soccer coaches
* Reasonable entrance fee
* Free admission to view all games
* Certified athletic trainer on site
Due to the continued growth of the Summer Friendlies, we can only accept 24 boys and girls soccer teams to our event. Please fill out the registration form and send to the address provided to ensure your team's participation.
