The Office of Sport Information assists the athletic department to promote, inform and publicize Indiana Wesleyan University's 15 athletic programs.
 
Indiana Wesleyan University sponsors intercollegiate programs in baseball, men's and women's basketball, cheerleading, men's and women's cross country, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field and volleyball.
 
The Office of Sports Information is the main liaison between each athletic program and all media outlets.
 
Other responsibilites of the office are news releases, website maintenance,  gameday programs, etc.
 
Gameday Coverage
When members of the media would like to attend an Indiana Wesleyan University athletic contest, contact the Office of Sports Information at least 48 hours prior to the event. Prior knowledge of media coverage allows the Office of Sports Information to prepare for your visit and have ample amount of time to reserve a seat at the scoring table for you with appropriate statistical information.
 
For men's and women's basketball home contests, media will be provided in-game statistics during each timeout, halftime and at the conclusion of the game.
 
Pregame Information Packets
Baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer and softball information stat packets are available upon request.
 
Interviews
All interviews with Indiana Wesleyan University players or coaches can be made through the Office of Sports Information.
 
If a member of the media would like to interview a student-athlete over the phone, please leave the Office of Sports Information a phone number and best times to be reached for the student-athlete to contact you. No information will be given to media members concerning contact information on student-athletes.
 
When a media member wishes to have a face-to-face interview with a student-athlete, it may be done in the Indiana Wesleyan University Recreation and Wellness Center, either in the coach's office or a conference room.
 
Postgame interviews may also be requested. Media should not enter the locker rooms as they are off limits except to members of the respective teams. Contact a sports information representative and they will make contact with the student-athlete. The student-athlete will be granted 10-15 minutes in the locker room following the contest and the interview shall then be completed on the playing surface or outside the locker room entrance.
