Jeff Tyson returns for his third season as an Indiana Wesleyan University assistant coach and his sixth season with Coach Candace Moats and the Wildcat volleyball staff.

Tyson began his volleyball career at Elizabethtown Area (Pa.) High School where he competed on the varsity boy's volleyball team for two years, starting every match. In his career, he was named team captain for two years, Elizabethtown Chronicle Student-Athlete of the Week and Lancaster Lebanon League All Star. Tyson also competed on the AAU Club Volleyball program for two years.

Tyson served for three years as a student manager where he began the transition from athlete to coach and upon graduation from Indiana Wesleyan with a double major in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration accepted the position of assistant coach. Tyson is involved in all phases of the Wildcat Volleyball program, including overseeing strength and conditioning, defensive player development and on-court strategy while serving as the recruiting and scouting coordinator.

During his time with the Wildcat Volleyball program, the team has won six consecutive MCC Conference Tournaments, made two NCCAA National Tournament appearances, including one second place finish, and one NAIA National Tournament Appearance.

Tyson is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Physical Education with a Coaching Specialization from Ball State University. He is married to Ruth and currently resides in Marion.
