Michelle Hurt has signed a NAIA letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Hurt is a five foot 11 inch middle hitter from West Linn, Oregon. She helped guide West Linn High School to the OSAA 6A Volleyball State Championship in 2007.

"Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball is always striving to bring the highest caliber person and student-athlete to our program,” said IWU head coach Candace Moats. “She led her team to an Oregon 6A State Championship by dominating in net play and team leadership. Along the way, she made a name for herself by earning first team All-State honors and being one of the most dominant middle hitters in the state of Oregon.”

A three year volleyball letter winner at West Linn, Hurt was named to the 2007 All-State First Team. She also earned Most Valuable Player of the Three Rivers League in 2006.

“In finding Michelle, we have found someone who completely embodies our definition of a Lady Wildcat Volleyball student-athlete. We are excited to see Michelle in Wildcat Red this fall."
