The Indiana Wesleyan University golf team has signed Matt Milholland to a NAIA letter of intent for the 2008-09 season.

Milholland is currently a senior at Marysville High School in Marysville, Ohio. He is the top player on the golf team at Marysville in the highly competitive Columbus golf district.

“I have watched this young man’s success for the past three years in the very competitive Columbus, Ohio district golf circles,” Indiana Wesleyan golf coach Steve Evans said. “Matt has won several high school tournaments in addition to playing in national tournaments in the summer. This has prepared Matt for college golf.”

As good as a player as Milholland is, he is an even better person, according to Evans.

“Matt is an excellent fit for Indiana Wesleyan with his Christian walk and his involvement with church activities. He had the opportunity to attend other top-10 ranked NAIA schools, but chose Indiana Wesleyan, which I am extremely pleased that Matt did to continue his athletic and academic career.”
