Andrea Meyering has signed a letter of intent to continue her tennis career at Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall of 2009.
Meyering is a senior at South Christian High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has played the No. 1-singles position all four years of high school. Meyering has been All-Area, All-Conference and All-State. She recorded a 21-5 record as a junior.
This season as a senior Meyering has posted a 24-3 record and she was undefeated in her conference. She has recently advanced to the state tournament.
Indiana Wesleyan head coach Terry Porter said, "Andrea is a wonderful young lady who will be a great addition to our team both on and off the tennis court. Her accomplishments and experience of playing a high level of tennis in high school and USTA tournaments will help us keep our tradition strong for the next four years."
During the summer she teaches tennis at the local country club and for ‘In the Zone' tennis camps.
Indiana Wesleyan had a 23-3 record this year and had a national ranking of No. 16 in the NAIA.
