Chelsea Kirk will continue her soccer career after signing a letter of intent to play with the Indiana Wesleyan University women's soccer team.
Kirk, a 5-9 defender, is from Carroll High School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was a three year starter and two time Most Valuable Player on her squad. Her honors include three time All-Conference, two time All-District, two times All-Area and this year she was Honorable Mention All-State. Kirk was selected this spring to participate for the Indiana All-Star team at the North-South game.
She played for the Fort Wayne Fever last summer in the Super Y league. That team won a berth into the Nation SYL National Championship.
Indiana Wesleyan head coach Dr. John Bratcher said, "Chelsea will be a threat on corner kicks and set plays due to her heading ability and desire to score. Her height also gives her an advantage. Chelsea's aggressive style of play is also an asset and I look forward to working with Chelsea the next four years at Indiana Wesleyan. She is also a quality young lady who fits right in with our team."
