Steven Thrasher has committed to attend Indiana Wesleyan University beginning in 2009-10.

Thrasher is an outfielder and a right handed pitcher from Southfield Christian in Southfield, Michigan.

Thrasher was honored as an All-District player last year at Southfield Christian as he went 7-0 on the mound. He also plays summer baseball for the Metro Detroit Athletics.

"We are excited that Steven has chosen to attend Indiana Wesleyan," said IWU head coach Chad Newhard. "Steven exemplifies the type of student-athlete we want to have in our program. He has shown he is a young man of high character, has done well in the classroom and has the baseball ability to compete at this level."
