Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball has added its third recruit for the 2011 season with the addition of Christi Benting.

Benting is a 5-9 setter from Alto, Michigan. She is currently a senior at South Christian High School.

The four year varsity starter is a two-time Ottawa-Kent All-Conference selection and was also named All-Region as a senior in 2010. Benting has been a team captain, was named Most Versatile Player as a sophomore and won district and regional championships at South Christian.

Benting has played club for the past four years. Last year she played with the Michigan Volleyball Academy and competed with the Far Our VBC the previous three.

Christi is the daughter of Gene and Mary Benting and plans to major in Nursing at Indiana Wesleyan.
